This is a patch to restore the old behaviour of the XMMS Crossfade plugin, where only the first set of numbers in the filename will be used to determine whether two files are successive tracks. After applying this patch, filenames with additional numbers in them, like "01 U2 - Track 1.mp3", should not be crossfaded in error anymore.
Put the patch in the build directory and patch it using the command:
patch < xmms-crossfade-0.3.8-file-numbering.patch
